It's very windy and very wet where I am today, hope the weather down there is better for your ride ;3

Well it worked out as a 55 miler as Mapyride decided that I was going to do some bizarre double back on one section of road and I didn't spot it this morning. The weather was windy (headwind of course  ) and I did have a little patch of rain. All in all a fun ride though and I managed to hit 46.7mph (downhill  ). Ironically the only car that cut me up was a Pious Prius.

RE: Speed.
I am usually a nurveous descender but this hill must have been 0.5 to 0.75 mile of straight road. I recon on a windless day I could top 50mph on it.

Congrats on the 55 miles and the downhill speed. I'm still stuck in the 30's (and happy with that) for my downhill speed. Where did your route take you? I assume that you were around the Aberdare area.
