I am really excited about it, is this wrong?

Unfortunetly Mrs Viking wants to come with me, something about getting a vintage bike bell! shes not normally sarcastic so I can only assume this is the truth (but I have my doubts)

I have been to antique fairs and the like in the past, my question is haggling acceptable? and am I likely to get some cheap clipless pedals?

No it's not wrong. I love cycle jumbles.
Unfortunately they never seem to be any where near me.
Yes you can haggle. That's part of the fun. and there's a good chance you will find what you want.
You'll probably end up with more stuff than you planned.
Cycle jumbles are like that.
