Our daughter and son in law are both working as kayak guides in Abel Tasman national park, they've been there over a year and won't be home 'till next year. We've just made a spur of the moment decision to go and see them.
Flying to Christchurch April 3rd and picking up a camper van, they're going to organise a 4 or 5 day kayak trip along the coast then we'll mooch about the South island for a bit, come back on the 21st.^_^^_^^_^
Have you invited that councillor yet?
I assume you mean the numpty who complained about the cycle training; He was just a local 'cyclists should ride in the gutter/have to use cycle paths/don't pay road tax' type. He phoned the council (who phoned my boss) but I don't think he was anything to do with them. Though it was in Merryoak (Southampton) so you never can tell.

Fantastic time had, managed to cram quite a lot into 16 days. Lovely country, pity it's so blinking far away!
