My mother had a deputy head who went into OFSTED because she hated children, and loved failing people.
My mothers experiance of OFSTED (excluding to two she had a nervous breakdown), were and inspector asleep in her class, and one who sat at the back picking his nose.

apparently satisfactory isn't good enough now , has to be good or above. which means to me that marks needed for satisfactory actually means unsatisfactory .

I think you will find that "satisfactory" has been replaced by "needs improvement"

dunno Kids schools have both had Good , wifes school was one good from Outstanding . she says ofsted i switch off as I know its going to be a rant about them.

Last time I was inspected by them, the woman had such bad breath that I did what can only be termed a "mini sick" as she gave me feedback.

Bunch of self serving spunk trumpets if you ask me. Of course satisfactory is the new needing improvement. It justifies their existence for another five years, hidden from the world of cut backs.

Like I said, spunk trumpets......
