If you just pick it up, you have a bike with a back wheel and a lock

You wouldn't be able to ride it far though unless you like spokeless wheels.

The rest of the racks are empty because Amnesia forgot her bike. Or forgot to lock it. Or forgot where she left it. Or forgot she had a bike. And she was only at the Rallye because she forgot where she was going when she went out.
Doesn't really matter as she won't be back here anyway as will have forgotten all about CC by now.

Sure you've remembered that correctly?

I was about to recommend 'Splinter' by Sebastian Fitzik if you have a Kindle as a novel about memory I enjoyed recently for £1 but it seems to be £4.99 now so wouldn't buy it for that price.

(ps. oops, sorry. Really don't know why I thought that, especially given your avatar)

What does he know?

I sent nephew Oli (3.5) an unbirthday present recently, a Doring Kindersley book of 'Things that Go'. Flipping through it, I spotted on the 'At the racetrack' page, the Lotus Monococque bike, so I told my sister to tell Oli that I know the man who designed it. Oli was most insistant when told this while looking at the book at bedtime that he needed to know the name of this important person, and of course my sister didn't know. She said she's ring me later in the evening to find out. Apparently he said "You do that Mummy, you ring Auntie Sue, and get back to me in the morning..."

I suggested she send him a memo about it.
