Years ago I thought I'd experiment with sewing lycra, just for the challenge. Picked up a pattern for a jersey, then thought that there was no point in making it standard cycling colours, so made it long sleeve, in black with long sleeves and a gold panel, with a 1/2 zip.

I was very pleased with it, until I showed my brother. He was right: it looked like a Star Trek: The Next Generation uniform
