it's amazing what a little sunshine will do, even up here in the frozen north

20 miles into work instead of 15, and 25 back. Suffered in the heat this evening, but who cares...first day of the year without a jacket, overshoes and full length gloves.

Looking forward to developing a cyclists tan !!!! not likely here N of Inverness, but I can but dream:sun:

My mate moved up to Inverness to drive trains from down in the bleak midlands, goes out with MFCC regularly.

He's told me there have been occasions recently when it has been sunnier up in Inverness than down here.:wahhey:

80 miles with the CTC midweek wayfarers today - well slathered with P20 before setting off. Face and arms well protected! Shame i forgot that all "shorts" rides so far this year had been in 3/4 length = lobster pink and sore from knee to ankle!

Yes indeed, but they are 2 months apart. :headshake:

..but in all seriousness, we don't do too badly, it's just that today and yesterday have been scorchio! and I have been enjoying the cycling like it should be....so rain coat on tomorrow, I guess:thumbsup:

Yeah my summer gear has finally come out. Unfortunatly my RPE ratings are completly shot. My coach isn't gonna be too happy when he sees my training files: yesterday going home PE3 ended up at 372w ave... PE8 was 449w ave  ...

it's that bleedin' hot out there I am considering cutting the day short and having a nice ride home... might even stop in for a crafty shandy en route

My homeward journey yesterday was tough, even though I kept hydrated through the day!

Nice to ride in just a short sleeved top and shorts though!

Last night on the last part of my loop home, I was drinking my own sweat it was dripping off my brow and blowing in my mouth. Not nice lol. It's even hotter today, I've lost nearly half a stone this week. It must be the dehydration and extra miles!
