So there it is sitting in my garage, the Performer trike I finished putting together Wednesday before last. Only had time to ride up and down the road for about fifteen minutes to check all was well. Worked Thursday and Friday and was looking forward to the weekend when I went down with a virus which left me as weak as a kitten. It hung about all week forcing me to cut down on work and finally cleared yesterday. And today? Chucking down cats and dogs, blowing a gale with a vengeance and the same forecast for tomorrow

I don't want to make my first proper ride in bad weather as I have no doubt there will be minor tweaks and adjustments to be made and faffing about by the roadside in the rain is a no-no, particularly as trikes are new to me and I'm still on a learning curve. First decent forecast that coincides with a day off is Wednesday, making a fortnight with the machine sitting there begging to be ridden. I've never owned a new bike before that I haven't put at least 100 miles on in the first few days and the wait is driving me crazy:hyper::hyper::hyper: Still, I fitted a mirror today, bolted the bracket for my new Lezyne pump under the bottle cage and installed a pair of A530 SPDs so the weekend hasn't been entirely wasted.

BUT I JUST WANT TO RIDE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cry::cry:

Me too I haven't ridden for a month and I am mega frustrated, if I bake any more cranberry muffins out of shear boredom I may be too heavy to get over any hills when I get back on the bike. Hope you get out soon

At least you have had lots of time to admire , caress :secret:, polish :heat: and generally lavish TLC  upon it.

After all,, you really get it dirty now should you ???

Just think of how much more you will enjoy and appreciate that first main ride ...

I understand how you feel but there is one consolation: it doesn't get dirty!
If, like me, you are a fair weather rider, Autumn and winter are very frustrating times. :rain:Look at the bright side though, spring is on the way. :okay:

My trikes been firmly on the rollers for a few weeks now.
Cosy and warm, but no where near as much fun as being outside on her...

Still it stops mud  grit  water  and road salt :ohmy::ohmy: getting on her.
