Oil residue on rear shocker-is this normal?

Have noticed this on my Fox Float Elite unit; not dripping, just a light coating of oil after riding.

Bike is only about 3 months old & has done 250 kms on varied forest trails.

Have noticed this on my Fox Float Elite unit; not dripping, just a light coating of oil after riding.

Bike is only about 3 months old & has done 250 kms on varied forest trails.

If it’s not dripping, it hasn’t ‘failed’, so perfectly normal.

It's from the lube in the air chamber.
Being new it's got a lot in.
Hence why they need a basic service to clean the chamber and re lube.
It's to keep the seals from sticking.

But as said perfectly normal
