ok finally got my vouchers!!!!

hi guys hope every1 ok? finally got my c2w vouchers 2day and have just been into Halfords(i know they have a bad name but my local 1 is good, the guys are very helpful and willing to spend time with you)so after lots of talk about having a hybrid no road no hybrid no well ive gone for the road and had the carrera tdf,and this weekend had the 20% off so got it for only £270 also with getting it cheaper had load of extra £££££ to get a few extras sum spares etc also managed get sum pdm540 pedals but wouldnt let me have the shoes( going on my christmas list) so will have make do with the old pedals till i get the shoes. They have also managed to fit my bike in 2morrow so i can pick it up and take it for her maiden ride home. so hopefully 2morrow i will be writing my report about the ride home and at the weekend when i get my days off ill be able take a bigger ride. so all good at the moment

How does this cycle to work scheme work?

your employer signs up to it(different versions around but we use halfords and can get up to £500 sum up to £1000) you pay back whatever the amount back over 13mths( the 13th payment is your final payment to purchase the bike and is normally around 18% of the value of vouchers you had) you get the tax break on the payments so depending on value you have and tax code could save£150 +, have a look http://www.cyclescheme.co.uk/calculator and it will give you an idea how much you could save. then if your employer isnt already signed up there are links so you can try get them this is the 2nd bike i have had off it in 3yrs

ok so got the bike but didnt manage get it till late on but once i'd fitted stuff to it set the saddle height took it out up n down the road just try the gears, felt weird but will get use to it!!!!! but my on my was it fast managed get 33mph just down the long road by my house(according to speedo) so all ready for the cycle to work 2morrow, going take it steady get use to it but looking good so far.................
