adders are indeed the only one of 3 native snakes that are venomous, however have you ever smelt a grass snake? you would be justified in mistaking that it is poisonous!

Piece in tonight's Lunun Standard about a Buzzard rescued from father Thames by the river police. Apparently it ditched itself after being mobbed by seagulls.

Described as Britain's largest bird of prey. Might be England's but there are plenty of bigger Eagles in Scotland.
