Given the weather forecasts - but where do you go to buy one... and which type works best? You get those round ones, ones that pull up a bit between your legs and then longer traditional looking plastic ones.

I don't want a big expense as the minute I actually purchase one the snow will go forever but any recommendations?

Is there anywhere still left with sledges in stock?

We gaffa taped one back together on saturday as a replacement couldn't be found.

A few years ago we got lent a proper wooden sledge with metal on the runners.
Very, very good and also very well made as it was quite old and had seen a fair bit of use.

Metal tea trays and binbags have been used when desperate. A cushion in the bin bag gives much more comfort. It was only when I got my own cushions that I was able to try that out.

I remember the tray idea from student days.... it may have to be that ... however there isn't any white stuff here (apart from the one lump left from our snow mound). They are still saying we have a 40% chance of some turning up.
