Did a two hour club run this morning at 19mph average. Out later for a piss up/BBQ/pool party/sleep over/camping extravaganza at my mates house, can't wait!!

Had a long lie this morning. Going out on the roadbike for a couple of hours then watching TdF later.

Got up and drove with bike to Walton on the Naze this morning, then cycled back.

Just about to have lunch, then will cycle to Walton and stow bike in car, then we're off sailing for a Pirate Weekend with up to 70 other sailors (probably 15-20 boats) at anchor at Stone Point on the Twizzle (near Walton, famed from Swallows & Amazons). We will be doing piratey things like hunting for buried treasure and having waterfights, plus a barbecue in the evening, plus lots of hurtling around in dinghies trying to avoid hitting the boats at anchor. Brill weather, should be a fab day.

I will then get the dinghy back to the marina at 11pm and drive home (with bike in car) so that I can sort the dog out.

Feeling let down, because it looks like I wont be getting an allotment any time this year. The guy we talked to last week seemed really positive and said we were number 13 on the list, according to someone else we wont be getting anything till next year.

He did offer me a 1/4 plot that's not much bigger than our back yard but it wont do. He assumed that I'm a women who would get tired of it and would just like to come on the weekends, to have a chat and a cup of tea with the other ladies, on the plot. Damit I work on an organic farm 3 days a week, I don't do anything by halves.

Now my plan to keep bees has been put back even further, why do I always feel let down?

Well I made her do it... and she enjoyed herself at the shops. On the way home she did a deal that if she cycled up a big ish hill she didn't have to do the roundabout at the top (multi-lane one), and it was enough of an incentive to get her up the hill so I'm pleased.

Gromit did you see someone new joined yesterday who is a bee keeper?

I've been rebuilding the BB on my Diamond Back by borrowing the balls from a scrap cheapo MTB that were in better condition. I've also been rooting around for a usable chainwheel.
I have also been transfering some of my video tapes to DVD to extend their usable life.

I have booked a table for dinner tonight but my gf is ill and we're not sure yet if she will be up to going out.

supposed to go to a big Birthday party this afternoon with mrs peanut but managed to get out of it. I'm so unsociable.

There will be all the local monyed people there from the poshest village around and I've nothing in common with any of them .

So instead I'm slobbing out in the kitchen with a nice cool breeze blowing through and watching the T de F on TV and surfin . Bliss .

Cats have both disappeared into the bushes to sleep in the cool and the Dobie is probably on the bluddy bed again.

Wish every day could be like today.

Good luck to all you muppets that are riding up to 100 miles in this heat

I am not sure that you are unsociable just because you don't want to go to that party. I do not like big parties, either. Much prefer small gatherings. Does that make us unsocial?:blush:

I am having a very quiet weekend. Lots of my neighbours seem to be on holiday, it is tricky to know if they are away, because they are so quiet anyway. All the windows are open, looks like we might get rain later, which is shame for anyone wanting a BBQ.

Utter Fuggin' Disaster M8.
Can't feel anything at the mo.
Nabbed in 8mins flat locked up outside Halfords Old Kent Road, this lunchtime.
All reported, CCtv being checked, etc,.

Not holding out much hope ATM.

Oh that's grim TD, really grim. Was that the one you've just built?

If you don't mind me asking, how was it locked up. Don't answer if you don't want, I just always try to see if there's anything to learn out of these things.
