Oh that's grim TD, really grim. Was that the one you've just built?

If you don't mind me asking, how was it locked up. Don't answer if you don't want, I just always try to see if there's anything to learn out of these things.

It was locked with a £45 heavy duty cable lock which went thru the back wheel, inside of the chain & seat stays, thru the stand and back round.

And yes it was the Roadrat:sad:

Lessons learnt, if you own anything resembling a decent bike and you find yourself in my neck of the woods, don't stop.

The real bummer is that by mid week next week I'd have had the readies to get a "New York' D-lock and insurance.

C'est la vie.

That's bad news - I hope you get it back. As you have now noticed - cable locks of any form are useless - one snip with bolt cutters and they are no more - utterly useless.

Oh tdr1nka - I'm so sorry:sad: I know that it was more than just a bike, the effort you had put into choosing bits, and building it up (and falling in love with it). Have you heard if any cctv is any good ... and not knowing London are you anywhere near Brick Lane to go looking tomorrow?

Sorry to hear about the bike tdr1nka
Just got back from Silverstone, Renault world series. Fabulous to see a F1 car doing laps, the noise is unbelieveable . You dont 'feel' that when watching it on TV....the sound goes right through you.
V6 single seat race (like F1 but a lower class) was brilliant for the noise and atmosphere, but like F1, didnt see many overtaking.
Various other Renault series races (Clio, Megane etc)...get into the paddock, loads going on, loads to see.....a good day..good to do something completely different.
Bugger, i've caught the sun on my face.

Is there really a Megane race series? I'd have thought Top Gear put all that to bed with their Vel Satis tuning programme.

I finally bought a bike rack for my van, a nice avenir thingy that attaches to my tow ball!! Very happy with it holds two bikes.

After I took these, I went out and did about 20miles on the crosser, 15 crosscountry!!

Harder work than the road bike.

Blimey you must haul a lot of stuff, not to just put it IN a van that size!

I was working in the morning, then met my GF after work, got some food then went around town for abit. Then came home.
Had a nice afternoon/evening here, then dropped her off at home and got back for about 11.
Nice day:thumbsup:
