OK, so who's gonna cycle to work tomorrow?

Bearing in mind the snow and ice?

I think I'll do a "pitch inspection" first then decide whether it's "game on" or not.
Mind you, "the ref" will have the final say - and what she says, goes.

Me.... probably.

Mrs Bicycle is going to London by rain, so I have a choice of cars. I intend to eschew them.

If I wake tomorrow with the courage I pretend to have, a Pace rc303 on Maxxis Ignitors will be carrying me.

If I wake up thinking I'm a pineapple sorbet in a bouncy, marshmallow world made of distilled happiness (unlikely) then I'll be riding in on a road bike with slicks.

The coming dawn will provide the answer.

I wish you hadn't said that. This is my ONLY option!

Weather report promises 4°c in the morning. Damned if I'm gonna miss THAT!
I will be cutting out all my shortcuts though - only gritted, main road routes for me. Ah well, better than nowt I suppose.

You'll be fine! ^_^

You're probably a better roadbike pilot than I am.

Also, my route tomorrow involves the Malvern Hills, which can be slippery and precipitous.

Let me guess, you have one of these? I think that you'll be looking for at least 40 days and 40 nights lead time. :giggle:

Ooops!

I ought to seek a job at the Guardian.

Rumour has it that they once apologised for referring to a retired general in the previous day's paper as a "bottle-scarred veteran", clainming that he was in fact a "battle-scared veteran".

I will start to type with more care.

'battle-scared' or 'battle-scarred'? Either way, it's funny!
