Ive made it in now problems.
The amin roads were all clear in Birmingham and the only part of my route i had to avoid was a cycle path that was still full of snow. Had to climb cartland road insted  but it was all good.

Actually made it to work quicker than usual

ride in was great. only one muppet beeping at me as i was riding in the clear tarmac bit. all other drivers held back and gave me room. hairiest bit was the first 50 yds to main road. mainly clear but a small bit of slush in the clear bit, no falling off though.

SubAqua you have my sympathies on the muppet, my ride in was great although I had to walk a bit further than expected as parts of my route haven't been driven on since friday.

Only one driver was less than perfect as far as giving space was concerned, that one merely fell into the normal category ^_^

Typical! I got the MTB all ready, spare tubes and everything. Looked out the window this morning and thought sod it and brought the road bike. All was fine once I got to the end of my drive (none of this snowshovelling for me yesterday!).

Traffic was a bit of a nightmare though, backed up from Deptford all the way to the Sun in the Sands roundabout.

That was actually quite a nice ride in. A whole lot less cyclists, than usual... bit of slush here and there and took it somewhat gingerly, in places.

It was +2.5 degrees when I woke up, after a warm day yesterday there was no snow and it was too warm for ice.
I swapped wheels, removing my Marathon Winter wheels for my GP4 Season wheels, although will probably have to change them back tonight..

In between here and there
I didn't ride, 9 miles of my commute would have been fine main roads just salty slush. But last six miles are on country roads which I could not predict if they were going to be clear.

I take the view I would rather miss the odd day or week than a month or more with a broken collarbone or worse!

My Mrs called me whilst she was on the way to work "Don't ride in, there is still snow on the main road" - I walked halfway to the train station then turned round to get my bike. Other than a few dodgy patches it was fine, just had to ride a little further out than usual. Even wore the fingerless gloves, it felt warm compared to last week

Kept to the main road this morning all the way in (A21) rather then the back roads. So a shorter commute then usual. Had to walk out of my road and into my work place but apart from that it was fine.

I rode on my old mtb with spiked tyres, not so much because of the ice and snow, but because of the slushy wet salty roads. I'm not bothered if that bike starts getting rusty bits. I'll soak relevant bits with some wd40 tonight to try and stop the worst, can't be arsed with keep washing it off.....I know lazy git

Main roads were fine this morning. I was more concerned about the fog, to be honest.
