A turbo trainer. I have plans for a 190 mile ride next year so I need to get some miles in even when the weather is less than favourable.

Get out there you big JESSIE;)
You've got no excuse with all those bikes now.

Just a watch - reasonable one (not expensive), for not wearing on the bike...I have a habit of breaking them.

Are you back on the bike, Wiggo?

Were the rumours of your retirement, similarly to your ejaculations**, premature:biggrin:

**I mean, of course, with respect to your verbal exclamations:ohmy:

:laugh::laugh::laugh:

The back is still an unknown... the frickin 3 lots of x rays and months of physio/osteo treatments and my quacks still wont send me for an MRI scan to investigate the problem further!

Have been on the new Focus MTB for some 10 - 15 milers and it seems OK most of the time but thats then I have days when i can hardly stand up straight!

Was never planning a retirement..... merely a roadie sabatical ;)

Nothing, I don't do presents at Christmas, giving or receiving. I buy gifts and spoil the people I care about all through the year, I won't have marketing men tell me when to do it. Christmas is about being with the people you want to be with and enjoying the time, and it should not just be about spending money.

Sounds bad Wigsie, get better soon.

Why don't you put a recumbent on your Santa list?
That should ease the pain. PM Arallsop, I believe a back problem forced him off the uprights.

PARK MB1 MAGNETIC PARTS BOWL
A must have bench top accessory that keeps small parts accessible and all in one place. 15 cm diameter parts bowl with an extra strong magnet to stop you loosing vital component parts on the floor, under the workbench, or in the grass

A new phone. My old one's gone so quiet (no,it's not my hearing) that when there's any background noise, I can only use it by putting it on loudspeaker. More of a necessary replacement disguised as a Christmas present, really.

I asked my sister to get me a firesteel, and my Mum wants to give me money, and also suggested some pyjamas, which is fine. There will no doubt be surprises, and I'll maybe get to play with the train I've bought Oli...

Nick, you're spoiling my illusions:biggrin:
Ah, well when I say "I'm happy now" I seldom mean "right this minute" (not unless it's a Saturday or Sunday, in which case I'm unlikely to be on here), but I do find that thinking about my chainwheel tends to keep me from sinking to the very bottom of the black pit of despair ;)
