I've walked & camped solo for many years and never considered what other people may think. Around 6 years ago I bought a bike and did a couple of tours in Norfolk/Suffolk and Derbyshire, all solo. I'm now browsing maps to plan for this year's travel in the UK, by the way I'm nearly 73. Just go for it.
