I went to the CTC York Rally a couple of times in the 1990s, and there were old lads there, in their 70s, 80s, or 90s, who were as fit as anyone on their bikes, yet could hardly walk and some could hardly even straighten themselves out of their on-bike posture.

Don't foget that the national vets record for an 80-year old for a 25-mile time trial is 59min and something seconds
