Dellzegg has affectionately referred to the Midweek Wayfarers section of the Cheam & Morden CTC as "The Old Gits".

Well, The Old Gits (more accurately, i suppose, the more hard core plus the younger element of the A ride - 15 of us mid 50's to mid 70's) had a day out at the seaside on Wednesday.

Cheam to Shoreham for lunch, back to Leatherhead for beer and home - for most that was around 105 miles in the day with around 4,500ft of climb, average rolling speed 12.2 - and the longest was 121 miles by a guy in his 70's (but I'm told that back in the day he did hold some serious time trial records)
