I'm after an old style saddle loop fixed small toolbag of the sort that we all had on our kids bikes. Brooks do a couple but would charge me upwards of £50.
I have a Cateye rail mounted rear light and want something to pack a spare tube and multitool in that won't get in the way of it, so a wedge type one is a non starter.

A quick google only shows the rail mounted wedge types or the megabucks Brooks.

Does anybody know where I'd find a reasonably priced one?

cheers

I have one. It is quite small. A fat tube, a small tool, and a pair of tyre levers is a bit of a squeeze.
sounds ideal TBH, its for my Brompton & I got the overly expensive in frame toolkit as a Christmas present. A 16" tube, latex gloves & mini leatherman is all I need in the pack.

I had one of the planetx bags and the straps rubbed away after a couple of months. One actually snapped out on a ride so I put the thing in my pocket and binned it when I got home.

You get what you pay for.

My frame tube is full already, the expensive pressie fits fully to the fore of the hinge and I have managed to stuff my lightweight waterproof aft of it. I can fit a tube under the saddle & the other bits in the compact camera bag my T6 battery sits in on the front stem but the saddlebag is a tidier and easier accessed option. I've currently got them in an old first aid pouch zip tied to the saddle loops but I'm concerned they'll rip through before long with the scabby roads I have to choose from. I'd love to be able to justify the cost of Brooks or Carradice ones but not right now.

Thanks for the link Adrian; I'm gonna buy a Campagnolo cap.
Cheap indeed!
I was in the PlanetX shop recently, and spied the Campag caps. I can confirm that the Hot Pink colour is even more loud and garish than it looks on screen.

Oh, and the changing room in the Barnsley PlanetX shop is totally cool. It's an old Airstream caravan!

I keep a spare inner tube taped to the little frame tube that goes from the bottom bracket to the main tube. Everything else lives in the main tube in an off cut of inner tube, to stop rattles. Multi-tool forward of the hinge, 15m spanner, tyre levers, and some glueless patches aft of the hinge.

Scoots off to try this out...
