Postman has just sat and watched the final episode or should i say film/episode,it was over two hours long of the brilliant MASH.
I found it very moving it was really well written,with each one of them bowing out in turn.It brought a tear to my eye and a lump to my throat.
It was like losing friends.But the best thing is i can watch it over and over again.And they will never leave Korea.

I enjoyed the series but have never watched the film. Being stuck in Korea would be no joke.

I thought it was very sad when they "killed off" the "Commander" of MASH 4077, the one before Colonel Potter, I think.

love it. have the entire series on DVD plus film and the complete book of M*A*S*H that outlines every episode of every series
one of the few things that were not sold when we went off to cycle around the world.

'Goodbye, Farewell & Amen'

M*A*S*H, at the time was (& I think, still??) the longest running comedy series
Certain episodes made me well up, such as 'Abyssinya Henry' (spelling??) where Henry Blake is shipped out, & Radar comes into the OR to report that his plane was shot down with no survivors.
There was a brief pause, then surgery continued


'G,F & A' was a cracking full-length episode, with BJ being the last to leave as Hawkeye sees the stones laid out

There's the scene in there, where Hawkeye cracks up, after suppressing the memory of the woman smothering her baby to avoid discovery



I have a t-shirt, with the red-cross & '4077th', & wear it to work as a (irreverant) comment of what our A&E is like on a Friday/Saturday night)

i think the book is out of print now, but is probably still the definative work
