Old SWorks Roubaix vs newer, cheaper frame?

I am half thinking about replacing my 2004/5 SWorks Roubaix frame with something newer. I bought the frame second hand about 5 years ago and think it's maybe 11 years old. Have there been many genuine advancements in this period? Would one of the Planet X RTD-90 frames for example be better, worse, indifferent?

Lighter stronger carbon (Fact 10r?) and internal cable routing.
I believe the Zertz have also been redesigned. Plenty on here ride the newer Roubaix so will be more informed than me on how it rides.

On the Planet X I haven't ridden it, but isn't it a 'racy' frame, whereas your Roubaix is a more relaxed geometry? I guess it depends what change you're looking for.

I do like the geometry of the Roubaix. I guess with a big birthday coming up I thought it might the only chance of justifying an upgrade :-)

What's the budget for the new frame? a friend of mine just picked up a new SWorks Roubaix frame at over £500 off RRP, I'm happy to ask where he got it from

Thanks everyone. Budget is £1000 max. what's better? I guess I'm asking for some advice on whether a newer frame within that budget would be better then my current one.

The current Roubaix SL4 is a hugely better frame than an 11 year-old Roubaix would be. I had a 2006 Roubaix and then moved to a 2013 Roubaix (currently for sale in superb, almost new condition, size 56 for £995) then quite soon after that I moved on to a 2015 Roubaix SL4. This frame is, to me, quite a miracle because it manages to be fast, stiff and efficient yet incredibly comfortable. It has a sort of lively spingy feel about it that I love. Yesterday I rode a 2016 Tarmac SL4 with Ultegra 11-speed then jumped straight back onto my Roubaix SL4 with almost identical wheels and the same tyres and groupset and it just reinforced how much I enjoy the Roubaix. The Tarmac is faster and stiffer but it doesn't have the magic spingy quality about the ride; it's much more uncompromising.

Thanks everyone. There seems to be so much marketing blurb about these bikes I'm inclined to keep what I have! SL3 vs SL4 ? No where in the Specialzed website do they explain the difference. I have established my current bike is FACT 9R? Is 10R or 11R. Some reviews claim the SL3 is a better and more compliant ride than the SL4? Confused.
