I have both of those.:becool:

I am also using a late 1940s Swiss made Lucifer bottle dynamo on my winter bike. Very heavy, but very quiet and smooth running with no noticeable drag, preferable to any of the modern ones I've tried. It does power modern(ish) lamps however.

We have a fully functioning and still used Sanyo Betamax 5000. One stereo is Akai separates bought with my first work bonus in 1982, the Wharfedale speakers are at least a decade older, the dining room stuff (Ariston/Teac) was bought in 1997. Radios are all old, Grundig Yachtboy, Realistic DX-440, a Roberts and a Sanyo as below. The oldest is a valve Etronic 5361 from 1951. All are quality and were built to last. I also have "as new" Sharp & Sony casette Walkman's too...........I don't like digital stuff and the availability of everything NOW and as far as I am concerned radios and hi-fi stopped looking good when "Solid State" ceased to be a selling phrase. ^_^

Our cars are both 1998 models, a (1970's designed) Jeep and an MX5 (electric nothing & wind up windows), both meccanoesque in construction. I did have a 2001 Mondeo but after writing off a whole day replacing a small dash bulb, I sold it, it was far too modern=designed to con.

All my watches are automatics dating back to early 1960's and I always wear a nice one whilst riding my 1962 Vespa.
