Apparently the old Russian watches are quite good. Made with the older tooling the Swiss sold to them, or something like that.
THe two I own have movements that would be considered high class with Breuget hairsprings and micro-adjusting regulators, and go for £hundreds if they were Swiss. As it is I can find them for a few quid on ebay or in second hand shops. One gains about 6 seconds per week in daily use, the other is nearly as good.

You may be able to date the watch from the hallmark letter. It is possible that it may have Swiss hallmarks in which case if you see 925 it means it is slightly better than Sterling silver. The little pip is for setting the hands, on some watches you have to press the winder down to alter the hands.
Swiss movement, English case. Even an English manufacturer named on the dial. More than likely the case will be English/Welsh.
