After 10 thousand miles the back wheel on my new bike has given out - the frame has life in it and I have old back wheels of my last bikes (so why spend the money on new wheels). The catch is the new bike is through axle (12mm) and the old bikes regular quick release. Has anyone managed to fit old wheels on newer bikes - I see articles about getting through axle on older frames but not the other way round. I know through axle is meant to be better and all that but I'm in the why spend the money club.
