A bit later at 1909 'Slippery Jim' - bike action appears, as if by magic, at about 3:20 and runs for a couple of minutes, it's fun too! :smile:

Yes, I saw that later. I stand corrected. But is that the first with a bike? I also saw a lo-fi film of a New York street from before 1895 but I couldn't make out a bike.

I suspect Lumiere's film is one of the earliest film records of a bicycle, but I do not know if Edison/Dickson filmed something "bike-like" earlier. Much of their work from 1894 was studio based, so I'm unsure.
