I wish somebody would explain the concept of 'spoiler' to the BBC!

After several attempts to record events which kept jumping channels, I gave up and watched them on catch-up instead. The trouble is, the Beeb insist on giving away the result before you watch it. In the case of the men's MTB there was a huge bloody picture of the winner! :cursing:

"Watch Mo win the double double."
:banghead:

Was up in the middle of the night lastnight so went online to see if the athletics was still on. Clicked through from the schedule to find the 'as live' video was titled
'Mo Farah's 5000m gold and women's 4x400 bronze'
. FFS.

I hope the BBC have received a lot of complaints about their coverage, it has been terrible. A complete clusterf*ck
Danny Baker, a BBC employee, had a massive rant on his 5live show.
He was watching the show jumping on BBC2, then had to go out to take his daughter somewhere, so paused the live feed. Then came back home, started watching again, it got down to the last two horses with GB in gold, and the recording stopped as they had switch to BBC 1 because BBC2 was showing a pre-recorded repeat of Eggheads!

I heard someone say Britain had won so many medals not only because of funding but because the participants had been allowed to pick their own accommodation instead of having to stay in the Olympic village. I had images of Andy Murray hiring a penthouse with servants. I notice he was beaten yesterday in some tournament. Why was he allowed to leave the Olympics while they were still going on? To me all he did was fly in, win a gold then fly out with his agent probably on the phone demanding more in appearance fees as his was now a twice champion. Kenny and Trott were back home soon after their wins. All should've been made to stay till the end Self servers the lot of them!
I can honestly say i didn't watch one minute of the games apart from bits on the tv news.

Why do they have to stay for the full 3 weeks? This is nonsense. They can come and go as they please once their events are completed.
All GB athletes were held off site in a holding camp about 100 miles away until a few days before their event, so none of them were on site for the full time.
Mo Farah stayed off site in an oxygen tent. This is common for the bigger names and richer teams, it is called marginal gains.
Andy murry and rafa nadal shared the cost of a private jet to play in the cincinatti open, chris froome and all the other riders are already 3 days into the Vuelta. This is hectic schedule of modern profession sportsmen.

One minute is all i need to suss out self servers. Sportsmen(sorry persons for you PC freaks), politicians, tv "personalities" all do it to boost their wealth not for "the good of the nation".

Tell me Tiny. How has Murray Kenny Farah and Trott's golds enhanced YOUR life?

You're misinformed.

Players will receive no ranking points for representing Britain in the Davis Cup Tennis - ranking points are crucial in sponsorship deals, seedings, prize money etc. Additionally, Murray does not get paid to represent Britain in the Davis Cup

Murray is also a Unicef ambassador and does a lot of charity work which benefits young people.

Which boosts his goody two shoes image which therefore leads to better sponsorship/advertising deals(like Beckham) The ball's in your court Andy!

David Beckham also does huge amounts of charity work so your comparison is apt but doesn't back your assertion that rich sports stars are only interested in making money for themselves.
