I've just logged on to Crazyguyonbike.com and nearly spat crisps all over my netbook. I'm the featured journal this week! I always assumed you'd get an e-mail or something warning you but it seems not.

Congratulations Helen. Are you going to thank your family, all those on CC and everyone else that knows you then burst into tears  ? Don't let the fame go to your head or change you .......................

Your journal is going great. You seem to be having a ball. Keep it up ;) .

Btw I liked the pic of your first bear sighting.

Fame indeed and your post hits will sky rocket now!

Cathryn was featured journal once so that's CCs second No1 in the Hit Parade - congrats!

Congratulations Helen, there are quite a lot of us CC'ers on CGOAB, but not many with the famous yellow star.

Keep it up, it's good reading...

Yes, I remember Cathryn being featured. Didn't she get extra long because the server was down or something. It's good to get some British representation on there.

I've been periodically dipping into your journal over the last few months and have enjoyed it a lot. You might have a career ahead of you as a travel writer.

Hmm...why has this appeared twice? I wasn't wanting to come across as being over-enthusiastic.

fantastic. I am a very regular CGOAB reader so will add yrs to my bookmarks. Funny how a screen-name on CC gives a different impression..... I had you down as a slightly frumpy 55 yr old, but you are clearly not!!

Looking forward to reading more later today

Keep going and blogging Helen - I am really enjoying your journal - it makes me green with envy!! And one day I hope that you'll teach me how to replace a spoke! ;o)

Buy NBT2 from Spa Cycles. Follow instructions. Swear alot when you realise you've taken the tyre off but need it on to use the tool. Put it back on. Try again. First use not recommended when you're really under the weather and it's 40C.

Don't forget to mark the spoke you replaced so you only need to tighten that one up, not mess about with all the other ones and get the wheel out of true...

I'm also very impressed with your bike fetling abilties, though this also indicates much bike breaking ability as well, what are you doing to it?

Your blog is great & has helped me realise I'm a lazy wuss & couldn't do for very long without home comforts and the company of others

Even though you are in the back of beyond / wilderness, your blogs could be more regular, as I forget whcih ones I have read last

Keep on keeping on & blogging - great vicarious touring for lazy people :hello:
