Yup, this is Wales!!!!!!!!!!!!! and the castle is actually owned by my boss, its part of his estate!

And HlAB..i cant believe iv finally done that hill----it is a killer and lycra clad peeps sail up it as if its flat, leaving me hangin my head in shame as im pushing bikey up it But today i rode it all the way up. I wouldnt mind if it was then downhill but it just straightens out a bit untill "the hill part 11"-ill put a pic of that on tomorrow if i make it again

Mind you, you didnt see the state of me when i got to the top, ha ha!!!

It is gorgeous round here tbh, theres beaches,forests, woodland, castles,all within at furthest a short drive away.And everywhere looks better when the suns shining!

I've been to Rhuddlan castle when I was a kid but not since. Spent a lot of time on that coast and it is beautiful, though some areas are quite rundown now which is a shame. That hill definetly looks evil.

YIPPEE!!!! WOOHOO!!!!OMG Iv done it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.....My first 30 - THIRTY!! - miles!!WELL CHUFFED with myself!! Infact its 31.6,but I need to confess it took me 2 hours and 48 mins although i would have been quicker if I hadnt had the wind against me nearly all the way back.Grrrrr.
Am SO pleased iv done it and feel on such a high im sure I could do it again (but in reality probably not!!)
My snacks on my journey? a bottle of water, a bottle of diet coke,a creme egg and a banana.Oh yes, and a fly

Oh and if the 2 lycra clad entities that passed me on "that" hill read this.....your comment left me smiling all the way back!

Not aching thismorning but ill be off out in a minute so I guess ill find any sore bits then! Hoping to do yesterdays jaunt again but well see how it goes, ill try&post some more pics later if i do.

SD-Barmouth I think is a long way from here? Have been there years ago but its not local.

Crackle-yes parts of here are VERY run down now sadly, Old Colwyn where I grew up is very pretty but the villiage shops are mostly empty now and its gone very downhill.And certain parts of Colwyn Bay & Rhyl are just awful. But the countryside more than makes up for this, especially when you venture in the direction of Betws-y-coed.

And finally, Aperetif...I searched for the "what do you look like" thread but cant find anything. Ill look again later as would be nice to put faces to names,you all seem so lovely on here.Oh, and if that Roadie comes up behind me today ill get him to take a picture!!!!!!!!!!!!!! xx

You obviously have no idea of the miles Aperitif casually does, he may well be that roadie behind you and I know, for a fact, he carries a camera
