I love on line banking but is it normal to check it at least once a day (normally twice).

I am lucky in that I have a regular income, pretty much fixed outgoings and that the former is greater than the later.

So to check so regulary is this wierd?

Yes!

I check mine a couple only of times a year, mainly because I can never remember the passwords. :biggrin:

Checking every day is a good idea especially with so much ID theft and fraud going on these days. I check mine every day or every other day.

Check as often as you want, but I would strongly recommend never to logon to your bank/paypal/etc. on computers a stranger can access (unless your account requires a separate hardware secret code generator like some banks now do). It is incredibly easy for someone to log everything you entered.

The PC has Windows password protection is no barrier either. The vast majority can be cracked within 5 minutes.

Check mine most days. I even have an Excel workbook that calculates if I'm up/down on the months budget.

I really should do this, my budget always goes straight to hull though as soon as the first bill comes in.

I do that as well and I'm on a very tight budget so I can't afford to go overdrawn

I check mine 2-3 times a week, sometimes more often if things are tight or there's cashflow issues. Every day is cool - do you feel comfortable doing it? Is it impacting on other things you should be doing?

When I was a desperate student I used to have a phobia of going to my own banks' checkpoints. I didn't check my balance from one term to the next!

I'm over that these days.

Unfortunately, I'm still like that! ;) (but I'm not a student) :eek:

Me too. I love a good spreadsheet:smile::wacko:.

Ditto :wacko: I graph my spend every month, have a sheet with all my direct debits and bills on to show whats left to spend and a sheet with debts on so I know where I am in the world. I used to be bad with money but I am reformed now and have learnt my lesson :smile:
