Just after a bit of advise really.
A new job starting shortly means I'm only working 3 miles from home rather than 12 so I'm thinking this gives me a perfect opportunity to start riding fixed/ss again. I've got enough parts stashed away to build up a bit of a do everything hack bike - commute, pick an 18 month old up from nursery, shopping, errands etc and have been looking at the pompino frame. It seems well respected in reviews and I know lfgss have a thread dedicated to them but I was just after real world advise from people on here.
Is it a cheap frame for a reason or will it take the abuse of everyday riding? Not bothered about particularly fast riding but how heavy are they in the real world?
Would I be better off with an older 531 or such frame or spend a bit more on something else?
I like the look of the pompino and the fact it has rack/baby seat bolts and I'm really not looking for anything flash so am thinking this could be the perfect frame
Thanks
