What was Mel B doing buying a £400 gym membership for the lad.Would have been better spent on finding employment.Give him a purpose in life instead of ligging in bed till 1500 every day.
I am going to watch this right through to the bitter end.
Could not believe my eyes.Squalid living conditions.My garden shed is cleaner and tidier.

I deliberately didn't watch it, as once the celebs have gone back home life returns to it's normal level for the people involved and not much real change takes place.

a lot of social housing is far far worse. Living conditions that you would not allow a dog to live in.
Having worked as a Surveyor in Social Housing for the past 30 years I have seen it all. Up to 50+ houses a day at times.

I've been in houses where the dog excrement was so bad that you couldn't place your foot on the floor without treading in some

Houses without a single carpet or piece of furniture in the place. Homes with 3-4 children to a room. Every surface covered in needles and some where druggies have inserted used needles in light switches and door handles to catch the unwary.

I've seen things that defy description and that program was a long way short of showing true conditions in social housing living on the breadline.

Why aren't these people then given orders to clean up the houses that they have turned into squaller - they're somebodys property(council/private)? I'm also sure it's not fair to tar all people with the same brush - I grew up on a council estate in the days(35/40yrs ago) when most of the families worked. Many of the houses/gardens were a credit to the people who lived there.
I've also been in many private "Spam Valley" mansions with no carpet on the floors / not much furniture. The kids were dressed like paupers and the fathers/mothers drank/gambled the money away.

However as for the druggies on benefit leaving their needles lying around to infect others - time for a massive reform here. I work in an environment(petrochem) where I have to be regularilly drug and alcohol tested(and feel criminalised) - just to make sure I'm capable of doing my job. It's about time this was a minimum requirement of receiving benefit / a house - and being able to keep children(poor kids).

I'm not against people receiving benefit for the right reasons - unemployment / disability / sickness.

I'm not against the recreational use of drugs(after all alcohol is legal) just why should we - the ordinary tax payer subsidize these addicts?

Oh! I can't bear to watch any more of these celeb's trying to be cool by getting down with the poor and underprivileged, to make themselves feel better about how little they did for their fortune.
