So, the whole 'once in a blue moon' thing is a bit misleading really. I mean 3 years isn't that long away....

I mean, getting a new bike 'once in a blue moon' would be quite good, but having a drink 'once in a blue moon' would be pretty bad IMHO

It has nothing to do with colour, a blue moon is a second full moon in a month. I've learnt something new today.

moon has 28 day cycle, so number of months before the next blue moon is approx 28/2.4 = 11 so that is about once a year. (rough bakc of envelope calc)
