One bike or two?

2 bikes imo is the minimum if it's going to be your main transport. Even if one isn't great at some point your primary bike will have a problem that you can't solve overnight you you at least need a spare.

You could try but if you're trying to have 2 partners it will almost certainly end up in a bit mess on the floor.
