I'm more inspired by the pensioners who are still cycling to the shops every day.

I'm always impressed if I see elderly folk doing stuff that is considered to be a younger person's activity. I know that genes, lifestyle and previous working life plays a part in abilities and activities than can be continued in later life. I also feel that a positive frame of mind is a big part. I agree, it's all very inspiring.

Why is that I don't follow any kind of sport. Never had any interest whatsoever. I'm still looking for a tele that blocks any transmissions of sport-even the stuff that comes on at the end of every news bulletin

Your missing out then. The news has been full of stories all week about one female cyclist getting dropped from the team and being advised to go and have a baby now. Lots more to it than that but certainly lots of accusations of endemic sexism within the organisation as a whole.
