Wifes friends husband had to do the shopping at Waitrose today, as she was not well. He came back with nothing she usually bought or anything that was on the list. When questioned he said " that was everything on the list ". "What bl**dy list?" came the reply " You never took the list!" Turned out he d been reading somone elses list that had been left in the trolley.

That made me smile ... though I have to say Mr Summerdays is pretty good ... though occasionally he doesn't get those things that I have remembered that I need but that I didn't write down:laugh: on the other hand, I often forget those things too;)

Mrs Noodley learned to not bother with a list years ago, as I work on the "if it is not on the list it does not get bought" principle, as all men should/do. So now I just get sent out to forage for whatever I see, and she then takes a note of the stuf I have missed when I arrive home.

I always get something not on the list, even if I've made the list myself.
Today it was tortilla chips

Oh man I want £60's worth of cheese, olives and brandy RIGHT NOW.

It's 1:39am and I may have been drinking.

I may have looked like this earlier this evening:

It's me who's terrible at food shopping. Once I got sent for food. I spent about £60 on Cheese, olives and brandy.

I have never been allowed to go fod shopping alone since.
Whilst not in the same league ... Mr Summerdays does the main bulk of the shopping as he knows how I get seduced by the things they stick on the end of the aisles and food smells etc. It is usually cheaper for him to go. Though I have to go every now and again to buy the things that I don't remember we need until I see them^_^

I don't use a list. The menu for the week is determined by whatever's on BOGOF when I get there. Salmon this weekend after they had a whole side of salmon for £10.

I got sent out to buy some bacon a long time ago, I came back with a pork chop. She never will let me forget it even after 37 years.
