One hour difference.

Our ride to Scarborough is put back to Thursday,due to wether changing and my mate has an appointment for something.
So today we went down to the railway station to book the tickets,no probs,but what a difference one hour made.
Plan was to leave Shadwell 08-00 and after arriving in sunny Scarborough have a couple of hours near the beach.
So on asking for two adult ,two bike tickets.One way 17-48 train.
We were informed the cost was £26 each.
She could see we were a little shocked at this,so she asked could we travel on the 18-48 train,bikes guaranteed a space and the cost £12 each.
What a saving so now we will leave 08-30 take out time and have a little more time on the seafront.
Sorted.

Leave it until 20:48 and they'll be paying you to travel.

A lesson learned postman.
Flexibility in travel times can usually help you save a bit on rail fares, I have found this website helpful...... http://www.redspottedhanky.com/

If you went in a week's time and left as couple of hours later you could have done the journey for £9. AIn a couple of weeks' time you could do the journey for seven quid at your original time.
