Crackle--I definitely don't live up to my name....!! Misnomer if there ever was one- fancy a ride - come along sunday but aren't you oooop North?

Yep, too far up North. One day though, I've a friend in Finchley who's keen I visit. Mind you I have no idea where Finchley is in relation to this ride.

Finchley's fine- get a bike, get on an overground train if you want to save your legs or meet us in central london- crackle you know it makes sense!!

Doc- come along - though meeting you for the first time on a woman's mtb might be a memorable into! A sunday morning ride is also potential going to happen if there are enough people.

Oops. Sorry. Just seen this. I'm on 'bents only these days, but there are still two perfectly good uprights in the household. Evey's cadenza8 is usually available, and Ted's balance bike can be pushed (well waddled) into service.
Too late now. Girl's mtb, woman's folder, child's toy. You had your pick

Thought I'd share that as it's worth a giggle- I mean, who has one legged clipless moments?!!!

Erhmm...;)

I did this, coming up to a mini roundabout, a lorry was coming from the right, could have safely and legally got out but there are a couple of pinch points beyond it so I decided to hold back, unclipped my left foot then tried to keep moving slowly, when I failed I went over to the right. Embarrassment and adrenaline got me back up nearly as fast as I went down and fair play to the truck driver I saw him slow down and check to see I was up again, either that or he slowed down while he composed himself;)

Hope the ankle gets better soon

Dilbert, I was out riding again the following day and nearly did it again but saved myself and had a minor wobble instead!!

I hope you weren't too bruised from your clipless moment!

Another one with a moment. Coming up the Fosse way on my way back from the club run on the fixed today, I am using toe clips and run them a touch loose. Coming up one of the hills, up on the pedals and climbing strong, pulled my left foot straight out of the toe clip, must have pulled up with my foot pointing slightly down, had a huge wobble but managed to stay on the bike. Thankfully the woman in the black KA who was about to overtake me backed out of the overtake and waited for me to sort myself out.
