Can somebody enlighten me as to the terms and etiquette of ordering a bike on a bike dealer's website? Say I have it delivered to one of their local branches. Will they set it up for me and help me with necessary adjustments? What happens if I don't really like the bike. Can I just leave it there and walk home? Do I have to pay for the transport?

The smallprint is often a bit hard to find on the sites, and I'd be quite thankful for any general advice like "ABC are really good with this, but don't ever order through XYZ" etc.

I'd have thought all the normal rules would apply, no matter how the sale was initiated.

In any case any reasonable chain (Evans) would or should be more than happy to bring a bike to your local store for you to test ride.

Thanks. I suppose so. The only stuff I've ever ordered was books or clothes, and I thought what with the costs of sending bikes around, it might be more complicated.
