Sad news. Ronnie Le Drew, the voice behind Zippy and I think Bungle and George, has died aged 78.

No, only Zippy it turns out - he was the puppeteer from series 3 onwards and sometimes the voice, but that was mainly done by Roy Skelton (who's the one who did the Dalek voices, although they came about long before Rainbow).

George was puppeteered mainly by Malcom Lord and also voiced by Roy Skelton; Bungle was mainly Stanley Bates, but that character did have a much more rotating cast of performers in the suit it seems.
