Ok then. By popular request, here is the video!

Guilty - that's me; and it is a RED Lidl top, never pink. Thanks for including the sound of me gasping for breathe!

And yes, the bike is clicking (stronlgy suspect the BB) - on it's last legs and not worth repairing. Hoping for a new bike very soon.

Don't worry - it's not that long since his huffing and wheezing in the tunnel was commented on by others !

It's just that since he got his new bike he's turned into Lance bloody Armstrong ;) !!

I'm only kidding about being slow. Remember I had done a fair amount of training for my 100 mile ride so I have a fair few hills in the legs.

As goo pointed out it wasn't that long ago when I was huffing and puffing up there. Go along to a few CC rides and you to will be scalping in the tunnel! ;)

I think I'll be the one providing the huffing and puffing sound effects next time as I try to keep up with Magnatom & HlaB and their Fabulous Hillclimbing Legs ! (Note to self: start cycling that alternative route to work that gives you some climbing practice so it'll not be quite so hard to keep up come September...)

I just remember the last PfS when you kindly held back on approach to Edinburgh to encourage me along at the end.

It's amazing what difference doing a few months of training rides can make.

I still get scalped. The last one was when I was climbing up Crow Road. I was feeling pretty good, going at a reasonable pace for me, much faster than I used to go up it. Then out of the blue a chap cruises past me saying good morning. Barsteward!:blush:

If there is one thing I have learned in cycling, is that no matter how fit/unfit you are there is always someone fitter/unfitter than you!

So why apologise in the first place if he was at fault?
The is something quite intrinsically funny watching people (trying) to track stand, wobbling to and fro.. arse in the air. But at the end of the day they are not rlj (which is usually a pre-requisite for fixie riders )

I got held up behind a cyclist on the Clyde Tunnel today. Reasonable trek road bike by the looks of it, but he was finding it hard work. I must admit I felt rather smug because at that speed (no space to overtake), depsite the warm conditions, I didn't even break sweat.

Poor guy must have hated having me behind him...

Oi! Thats my father!!! The bike is indeed a gate with wheels, very heavy.
Watch out for when his new and improved bike arrives!
