I was thinking of getting my alfine stealth bomber powder coated orange.. might have to go acid/lime green now
Erhh disgusting. I was wondering about getting a bike painted in a camouflage pattern but decided on a cam net instead.
Cheaper much cheaper.

It's extremely low! a 42/32/22 is the same as my MTB and with thinner slicks and lighter weight, I could be running out of gears on the flat
Interestingly it also has rack mountings on the forks......
Uhmmmmmm .... the perfect tourer?
I'm away to compare my measurements with the chart on the site ^_^

It has the gearing for it
Ahem... I seem to have bought your same bike
With Quidco cash back, on my Tesco clubcard that gives you double points to spend in Evans for other bits, plus I will see if I can get my BC discount when I collect it, even if this seems to be pushing my luck a big bit!
Merry Christmas to us both

I may have bought another bike....

OK OK I have bought another bike. I had a totally different kind of ride last saturday and I really enjoyed it, but the old Raleigh is not suited to what I want to on that kind of ride (it can't take a rack), and as it happens, Evans have some nice discount on a cheap Hybrid with nice fat tyres and no rubbish suspension. I can put a rack on it, so I can take the big camera with me, for rides where I want to go slower and not be wearing lycra.

The colour is a bit... errr.... louder than I usually go for I admit, but it should do the job admirably.

It arrives tommorrow in a big box.

Anyone want to buy an aluminium Giant Defy? It definately has to go now with another bike arriving :shy:

WHY DOES THIS TERRIBLE AFFLICTION KEEP ON HAPPENING TO US ALL???????

Last time I purchased a brand new bike, that cost me almost 3 times the price of this one, I ended up not liking the bike at all, after a year getting a new to me frame, transferring the components.
Wish me better luck this time
