Open Street Map routes

Some routes that are shown on Open Street Maps show routes that have the letters 'VHB' showing alongside or above the route. Can anyone please tell me what the those letters signify?

Sorry re my earlier request for info about the letters VHB above routes showing routs on Open Cycle Maps. My original request said Open Street Maps.

Are you looking in Germany by any chance, it could be Verkehrsverbund, a public transport system.
