Opening a topic.

Why is it that every time I open a topic, it opens at the bottom of the page and I have to scroll up the page to get to the beginning. Is that normal?

If it's a thread I've been reading, it opens at the last read post, which may be at the bottom or the top of the page. If you haven't been following the thread, I'd expect it to open at the first post, so no, it doesn't sound normal to me.

It does that on my phone.

Even clicking on 'next page' or 'go to first unread post' often takes me to the bottom of the next page whether I have read the page before or not.
I ignore it on the phone and just scroll back up, though it is annoying.
It is fine on my laptop.
