I witnessed something that made me squirm and nearly vomit in my youth.

I watched my kid brother throw a dart upwards and monitor its descent without taking evasive action before it stuck in the corner of his eye.

Having seen enough wounds in my time, I reckon that is genuine. Tomato sauce and blood don't look, or act, the same as each other.
