Before she went out yesterday morning my Wife said she would be home about six. The door bell rang about ten to six and I opened the door to our good Samaritan, my Wife had got of the bus in the next road, started to walk round the house, had tripped and fallen heavily. This guy had been good enough to stop, help her up and drive her round to our house. Its lovely to know there are still people about who will put themselves out to help out a total stranger. My Wife's Ok, I took her down A&E and it turns out that apart from some heavy bruising She's not hurt herself to badly.

its nice to hear that.
Last year during all the ice, I seen a young woman fall over and she hurt her back. I stopped my car, went to help her and drove her to her place of work. I was late for an appt because of this. The woman never even said thankyou!

Glad your partner is ok

That's the kind of thing that's good to hear!

Years ago, my mother was taking her Alsation cross for his evening walk when he spotted another dog across the road. He pulled his lead out of her hand, ran into the road and was immediately hit by a car.

My mother was so traumatised that she ran all the way home leaving the dog behind in the road. She was in a terrible state and we couldn't get any sense out of her. She just kept saying the dog's name over and over again.

About 30 minutes later, there was a knock at the door. A stranger was standing there with the dog's collar in his hand. Apparently he'd witnessed the incident and had seen my mum running down the road screaming. He'd taken control of the situation and had got somebody to phone the police and a vet. The dog was very badly injured and had to be put down where he lay. The man saw our address on the dog's collar and had driven round to our house to tell us about the dog and to make sure that my mother was okay. I thought that was a very kind gesture.
