Ship/train? There's some nice destinations you could go to by train.

You aren't missing much with Guernsey - it's good for a weekend after that you are revisiting the attractions and both of them are adequate at best.

The Eden project is spectacular. If there's one place to visit in italy, it's Rome. It's my current 'must revisit' city. Full of antiquities standing shoulder to shoulder with modern architecture.

The Yorkshire Wolds are worth exploring. There's some fantastic single lane, zero traffic roads and stunning views to be had.

Northumberland is also worthy of a visit or two.

Paris is a doddle from Wellingborough, train to st Pancras, change for Gare du Nord. Much quicker than messing around with pesky airports. I know, I've done it both ways.

Book today, what are you waiting for?

Did an amazing day trip from Oban a few years ago. Firstly take the ferry to Mull and then connect with a coach that will take you to the jetty from where a small boat leaves to go to Staffa. On Staffa there is Fingals Cave which is remarkable and has similar rock structure to Giants Causeway. From Staffa the tour takes you to Iona, so peaceful and beautiful, then it's a very short boat ride back to Mull.
