It's a Vaude Ferret ultralight. Excellent tent, but the floor is no longer waterproof.

Uncle Phil, I know there is a sailmaker in Grimsby who does tent repairs. Is that too far for you?

Scottish Mountain Gear look good - specialists in lightweight tents.

There's a very good chap in Malton who's made all sorts of stuff for me in this line, both for work and personally. But he specialises in lorry sheets, big tents and heavyweight stuff like that...

Gerry, tell me more about your Grimbsby sailmaker. Are we talking high tech racing spinnakers or heavyweight canvas for sail-training three-masted brigs?

As the tent weighs under 2kg (less if I don't send the poles and pegs), getting it to someone is not a problem.

To put your mind at rest, I have absolutely no connection with them except the good work they have done for me.
