Out of date plain flour...

Dated BBE October 2013. I've stupidly volunteered for the office bake off comp and have to do biscuits...now I'm no baker (or cook really) and have found flour I bought for the last time I stupidly volunteered! Never got opened for whatever reason, safe to use? Thoughts? (There was a similar thread recently-ish but couldn't find it)

I'm a contractor so killing off colleague and management probably wouldn't bode well for my continuing employment

If it smells rancid don't use it, if it doesn't smell of anything much, then use it.

It's 6 years old. Even the weevils will have buggered off by now. I still wouldn't even open it. I'd throw it away unopened
